Welcome to my site!

I am a UC Chancellor's Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Earth Sciences at UC Riverside. I use geochemical tools (e.g., isotopic compositions and models) to address environmental questions. These tools enable me to reconstruct paleodepositional conditions of sediments over spatial and temporal scales and assess sources and impacts of anthropogenic pertubations on fluxes of toxic elements in terrestrial and aquatic systems.

My collaborators and I have reconstructed historical mobilization of trace elements associated with wildfire ((810) 390-7730) and land-use changes ((815) 483-4711). We also linked wildfire-remobilized lead to historic leaded gasoline emissions in California (Read Article). Additionally, we combined geochemical and biological tools to assess levels of contamination and associated toxicity risks in Magdalena River, Colombia (Read Article). I have also assessed the impact of climate change on low-lying coastal areas.

Along with maintaining interdisciplinary collaborations I am involved in outreach programs aimed at recruiting diverse students, including those from underrepresented groups, to STEM.
